A bit about us

Acahua focuses on delicate and minimalist jewellery. Some of our designs are self-inspired by the founder/creative director, Andrea.

She is originally from Colombia and arrived in Australia in 2012. After living in Australia for a short period of time, she fell in love with the Aussie way of living and made the decision to stay.

In 2018, shortly after welcoming her first child (Sebastian), she was inspired with the idea of on-trend jewellery in Australia but with a Colombian touch.

Her brand started as Le Chick Accessories in Canberra in 2018. She setup an online shop and participated in local markets.

With the business environment continuously changing and with the experience she gained from Le Chick Accessories, in 2021 she decided to rebrand and relaunch as Acahua.

Acahua's focus is on-trend delicate, minimalist and elegant jewellery.

The name "Acahua" comes from mashing together some words from the Muisca people (Colombia's indigenous people), who made beautiful gold work back in the Spanish conquest.

With Acahua she has been participating in markets in the ACT & surrounding areas like Haig Park Village, The Little Burley, Queanbeyan, The Cottage, German Club.

Acahua has been invited to participate at large events such as The Multicultural Queanbeyan festival, The Multicultural Canberra Day festival, Xmas in July Festival.
